Advisory Board Members

Sheila Bride: President/Owner, Petaluma Coffee & Tea Company

Sheila has worked with numerous community and business organizations and has served on the boards of The Petaluma Area Chamber of Commerce, Petaluma Visitor’s Program, the Rotary Club of Petaluma Valley, Petaluma Women’s Club, the Restaurant Association of the Redwood Empire, and the Petaluma Yacht Club. She also serves on the advisory boards of the Petaluma Library and the Casa Grande Culinary Arts program.  For the past 6 years she has been an advisor at Casa Grande High School with the Rotary Interact Club. In 2004-2005 Sheila served as President of the Rotary Club of Petaluma Valley.  Following long careers in the airline industry, Sheila and her husband Gardner moved to Petaluma in 1986, and founded the Petaluma Coffee Company in 1989. They enjoy the country life with their 4 cats, numerous deer, wildlife and the natural beauty of Petaluma.

Caiti Hachmyer: Farmer, Proprietor, Food Systems Advocate

Caiti Hachmyer founded Red H Farm, a diversified vegetable operation in Sebastopol, CA, in 2009. With an undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Conservation Resource Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and a graduate degree in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University, her work on the ground is complimented by research, writing, teaching, and activism. In addition to building a biodiverse, agroecological farm landscape, she is a contract researcher and writer for the Institute for Food and Development Policy/Food First, a member of the Sonoma County Food Systems Alliance, a lead instructor at the Permaculture Skills Center’s Farm School, adjunct faculty at Sonoma State University, and the founder of the project Foundations and the Future: Celebrating Women’s Leadership in the Food Movement. In 2016 she was acknowledged by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nation’s through their Agroecology Knowledge Hub and by American Farmland Trust’s Profiles in Stewardship project.

Brian Dufour:  Nutrition Education Consultant, Community Nutrition Advocate

Brian is proud to have joined the Petaluma Bounty Advisory Board in the spring of 2016.  For the last 18 years, Brian has worked in the financial services industry holding senior executive positions with Citigroup,  Morgan Stanley and Fidelity Investments.  He holds a B.A. degree in English Literature from Trinity College and an A.S. degree in Dietetics from Santa Rosa Junior College.  He is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and the Community Health Initiative of the Petaluma Area (CHIPA), a Health Action chapter.  Brian represents the Bay Area District of the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as the Legislative Ambassador to State Assemblymember Marc Levine.  He volunteers as a member of the Healthy Students Initiative for the Community Activity and Nutrition Coalition in Sonoma County  and serves on the PTA Board for Penngrove Elementary.  Brian studies food systems and passionately believes that the work the Bounty Farm endeavors is critical to improving health outcomes for all members of our community.  Brian lives in Penngrove with his super-cool wife and two funny and curious kids.       

Jessica Vann Gardner: Marketing, Communications & Public Relations Expert

Jessica Vann Gardner has worked in marketing, public relations, and tourism development for 28 years, both in the United States and in France. She served as Executive Director for both the Destination Marketing Program and for the Economic Development of Tourism for the City of Petaluma, for more than nineteen of those years. A graduate of N.Y.U., Jessica has served four terms as the elected representative for the nine counties of the North Coast to the California Travel & Tourism Commission. She has been chairperson on the Marketing/Public Relations Committee of the Sonoma County Tourism Board and has been a member and Tourism-Hospitality Chair of the Sonoma County Workforce Investment Board. Jessica has also provided destination media relations for Sonoma County, and lives in Petaluma with her husband, Alan, and their two children, currently working/attending university out of state. An avid lover of culinary exploration and organic gardening, Jessica is appreciative of the education and outreach offered by Petaluma Bounty to encourage access and knowledge about healthy food for all of our community.

Austin Garner: Attorney

Austin is a 20 year resident of Petaluma with three boys in Petaluma schools. While based in Petaluma, he has worked throughout the United States as a litigation and transactional attorney representing Fortune 500 companies and individuals with an emphasis in real estate finance and development. Austin studied political Science at the University of California, at Riverside and received his Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law. In addition to serving on the Petaluma Bounty Advisory Board, Austin has served on the boards of the Petaluma Valley Rotary, the Polly Hannah Klaas Performing Arts Theater Company, the Nu Concepts Management Group and the Edgemont Gardens Mutual Water Company.

Dani Lipski

Shortly after relocating to Petaluma from Southern California, Dani came to a Martin Luther King, Jr., workday at the Bounty in 2014 and has been volunteering there ever since. She is inspired by the Bounty’s mission to build community and create equality through access to local organic produce and education. Recently, Dani has been leading the cut flower production on the farm. In her day job, she is a marine biologist and is the Research Coordinator at Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary where she works on marine research and conservation.  Dani joined the board in July 2017.
