Bounty Farm manager, Amy Rice-Jones and Joe Ridout will give a slide show presentation about bicycling, visiting organic farms, and other experiences in Cuba at the Seed Bank, 199 Petaluma Blvd. N. on Tuesday, March 16th from 7 pm to 8:30 pm.
Please come join us to learn about our exciting adventure on bikes visiting Havana, Matanzas, Playa Giron (where the Bay of Pigs invasion occurred), Cienfuegos, Trinidad, and Sancti Spiritus. See the incredible mechanical skill and creativity of the bike builders and how important bikes are to Cuban life, the vibrant organoponicos (organic urban farms) growing tons of fresh fruits and veggies, the old 50’s and 60’s American cars and old Soviet Ladas, the colonial (beautiful) and Soviet (not so beautiful) architecture, and learn about the casas particulares (private homes); a government program that makes rooms available to tourists in Cuban homes across the country.

We would like to get a sense for how many chairs we will need for the showing so if you think you would like to attend, please RSVP to amy@petalumabounty.org.
Thanks to Baker Creek Seed Company for letting us give this presentation in their stunning Seed Bank!
