Bounty Farm Work Day

Please join us for the next Bounty Farm Work Day, on Saturday, September 13, from 9 to 3.

The farm is in transition towards autumn and it is time to straighten up neglected corners of the farm and work on some projects to make way for our outdoor classroom and get ready for our harvest and appreciation celebration on October 17th.

This upcoming work day, we’ll be working on…

  • Finishing putting wire on a new fence
  • Creating pathways with cardboard and wood chips
  • Clearing beds of finished crops
  • Moving rocks to border the future outdoor classroom area ( we will have a drawing to show you for what this will look like)
  • Straightening up around the barn
  • Sharing a potluck lunch

What to bring (if you have them):

  • good food and/or drinks to share
  • bowl or plate and silverware (so we don’t create too much waste)
  • sturdy boots, strong gloves, sun screen and hat
  • carpentry tools
  • wheel barrows
  • pick ax
  • pry bars
  • shovels and rakes
  • hand trowels

As always, you can expect some good old fashioned hard work, getting dirty, and learning together, while we continue to grow this great community farm. Please bring your friends and family of all ages.

For more information or to RSVP, please call me at 775-3663 (ext 213), or email me at amy@petalumabounty.org. I look forward to seeing you there!
