“Preparing the Winter Garden” - Workshops

Join us Wednesday, November 5th in the McKinley and McDowell gardens for our workshop:  “Grow Delicious Food Year Round — Preparing the Winter Garden” .  Master Gardeners Joan Betts and Carolyn Kameoka will demonstrate how to produce the maximum amount of food in a small garden plot, throughout the winter months. Topics include: planning, soil preparation, seasonally appropriate planting, and maximizing production.   Free vegetable starts and seeds for participating gardeners. 2:30 - 3:30 at McDowell Elementary School Garden - 421 McDowell  Blvd and 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. at McKinley Elementary School Garden - 110 Ellis St. off E. Washington (enter from the Madison St. parking lot) .
