The Bounty Farm is gearing up for another successful season at the Wednesday night Farmer’s Market in Petaluma and flower subscription sales to local businesses and homes.  If you haven’t heard about our flower subscription, we offer delivery of a fresh, seasonal bouquet of flowers to local businesses and homes for $18 a week from mid June to mid October. Sales of these flowers help support Petaluma Bounty’s programs.

The Bounty Farm is currently seeking volunteers that can commit to helping out with attending the Bounty Farm stand at the Wednesday night Farmer’s Market and coordinating bouquet making and deliveries to flower customers in Petaluma.  Below are descriptions for these jobs:

Farmer’s Market Sales (2 people) 5 hours/week Wednesday 3:30 to 8:30 pm

These individuals will help set up the stand at the Wednesday’s Farmer’s Market in downtown Petaluma which includes putting up tent, displaying produce and flowers on tables, attaching prices to produce baskets. These people will also handle all customer sales which includes weighing of produce, answering questions about produce and the farm, and taking money for purchased goods. You will also take down booth at the end of the market and bring the truck back. No previous experience required, training will be provided. Must be good with customer service, be able to lift boxes that weigh 25 lbs, and be able to commit to working at least one of these shifts twice a month. (Individuals who can drive a standard transmission truck are helpful).

Flower Subscription Coordinator (2 -4 people) Tuesday and Fridays (8 am to noon)

These individuals would run the weekly bouquet subscription which includes harvesting, arranging and delivery of flowers. This may also include supervising other volunteers that would help in the harvesting and arranging of flowers. No experience necessary, though enthusiasm for working with flowers is a must. Training will be provided in all aspects of this position.
