Packing Bounty Boxes with Produce from the Farm
The Bounty Box Food Club provides a box of fresh, organic fruit and vegetables to Bounty Box members each week, at pick-up locations near their home.
In recent years, the cost of healthy food has skyrocketed, while the cost of highly processed foods has actually gone down. This is making it impossible for many families in Petaluma (and elsewhere) to put healthy, nourishing food on the table on a daily basis. The result? A growing epidemic among low-income families of diet related health problems - including obesity, diabetes, heart disease, certain types of cancer, and impaired childhood learning, to name a few.
The Bounty Box program is helping to address this problem by selling a box of fresh, organic fruits and vegetables to low-income earning families in Petaluma at wholesale prices (just $10 per week). Bounty Boxes are also available at retail prices ($18 per week), which help to support the wholesale box program.
TO JOIN THE WHOLESALE BOUNTY BOX PROGRAM:
To join the Wholesale Bounty Box program, your income must be less than the following amounts, depending on the size of your family:
Wholesale Bounty Box Maximum Income Requirements
Individual: Earns less than $19,500/yr ($1,625 per month)
Family of 2: Earns less than $26,000/yr ($2,166 per month)
Family of 3: Earns less than $33,000/yr ($2,750 per month)
Family of 4: Earns less than $40,000/yr ($3,333 per month)
Family of 5: Earns less than $46,000/yr ($3,833 per month)
Family of 6: Earns less than $52,500/yr ($4,375 per month)

Want to receive a weekly box of fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, but don’t meet the above maximum income requirements? Join the Bounty Box Food Club as a Retail member for just $18 a week. Retail members get the same box of delicious food each week, plus the added bonus of knowing that their purchase is helping to subsidize the Wholesale Bounty Box program, putting healthy food on the table for their lower-income earning neighbors.
