Thank you to everyone in our community who came out to Bounty Farm on April 22nd to take part in our 8th Annual Plant Sale! Under a blue sky and with warm temperatures, we welcomed spring along with many community members who spent a bit of their Sunday to support our programs while buying plant starts for their own gardens. All funds from the sale will support our food access, education, and engagement programs for the 2018 year. We are grateful for your key presence in our collaborative work to grow a healthy, thriving local food system!
We also wanted to express gratitude to the many volunteers and interns who helped seed, water, and grow these starts, as well as those who contributed time and energy during the event. It is due to your hard work that we were able to put on such a successful event!
A huge thank you also to our sponsors: Petaluma Coffee & Tea Co., Johnny’s, Kaiser Permanente, Petaluma Seed Bank, Petaluma Poultry, econscious apparel, St. Joseph’s Health, Out West Garage, Grab n’ Grow, Hydrofarm, Red H Farm, and Lisa Krieshok Illustration & Design.
Missed the big event? Don’t worry! We have a few more starts available Saturday, April 28th, while we participate in Spring Farm Tours, put on by Sonoma County Farm Trails. Come out to 55 Shasta Ave between 10am and 4pm on Saturday to pick up a few plants, go on a tour, and take part in kids’ activities.
