We are currently looking for the following items and skills for our Bounty Farm, Bounty Hunter Program, Community Gardens and Petaluma Bounty office. If you have any of these, or can help us with any of the projects, please let us know. Thank you!

Tools

Seeding and Planting 

  • Silage tarps
  • Plastic weed cloth
  • Rice straw bales
  • Gift cards for Johnny’s Seeds or Petaluma Seed Bank
  • Gift card to Friedman’s Home Improvement 
  • Commercial metal wire shelves for refrigerated space
  • Organic seed starter mix
  • Organic nursery planting mix potting soil 
  • Solo backpack sprayer
  • Greenhouse poly repair tape 
  • Vermicompost (worm) bins
  • Perennial plants (including natives) for hedgerows to encourage insects and birds
  • Berry plants (blueberry, marionberry, ollalie berry, boysenberry, blackberry)

Irrigation

  • Metal stakes/staples for irrigation tape
  • 5/8″ 8mil or thicker irrigation drip tape with 8″ spacing
  • T-tape barb connectors with on/off switch
  • Gray water tank for wash station runoff and rooftop capture

Cleaning Supplies 

  • Bleach
  • Eco soap
  • Various sponges and scrubbers

Education Supplies 

  • Magnifying glasses
  • Scissors (kids’ and adults’)

  • Black and colored permanent markers (Sharpies)
  • Kids-sized tools (shovel, hoe, digging forks)
  • Dry erase markers
  • Children’s watering cans
  • Wooden boards and stakes for educational signage
  • Kids-size rain jackets (field trips)

  • Sticky Notes
  • New sandwich board
  • White primer
  • Waterproof sealant (exterior, water-based) for educational signage
  • Exterior paint, all colors (for murals)
  • Scholarship money to pay high school students a stipend to work at the farm
  • Library collection of books related to organic farming and gardening

SKILLS & TIME

  • Gardeners and farmers – to assist the Bounty Farm Manager to grow the great food we are producing on the farm
  • Carpenters/Woodworkers – to help us build community garden signs, bulletin boards for the Farm and other structures
  • Web designers/html coders – to help us continue to improve and maintain our website
  • Researchers – to help us learn more about various programs and policy issues elsewhere in the country, that we can learn from
  • Writers – to write interesting and informative posts for our various blog topics
  • Administrative – Develop and maintain record keeping systems, design flyers, social media posts, update database

    I would love to See Lemongrass for sale at the Bounty Farm.Other than that everything i look forward to planing you have available at your plant sale. I have some gardening books I will bring with me when I volunteer next Saturday.
