500 Pounds and Counting! Bounty Hunters Are Back in Action

Our Bounty Hunters program is back in action! Just look at these before and after pictures and you’ll see that Bounty Hunters are wasting no time.

Since we restarted the program earlier this month, we’ve recovered over 500 pounds of fresh apples and pears to feed our community, reports our new Gleaning Program Coordinator Allison.

Check out these photos from a gleaning event yielding 300 pounds of red Gravenstein apples!

And a gleaning effort in Penngrove yielded 151 pounds of Bartlett pears. We’re hearing from multiple tree owners in the area that last winter’s rains led to a bumper pear crop!

Join our efforts to prevent food waste and ensure everyone has access to fresh, local food! You can sign up to be a Bounty Hunters volunteer or request a gleaning to become a food donor.
