UPDATE: This post has been updated on April 10, 2025, with new hours. We’ve also updated the limit per household after conversations with Zero Waste Sonoma.
Come get free compost at our farm. Petaluma Bounty is one of Zero Waste Sonoma’s compost hubs.
Compost pick-up hours are Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to noon.
Location is 55 Shasta Ave., Petaluma. The compost is located near our farm’s gate. Please park outside the gate and walk in.
Please bring containers or bags and shovels to use. Limit five 5-gallon buckets of compost per household, per gardening season.
The compost is certified USDA organic, OMRI listed, CDFA listed, and is produced from local facilities that process material collected from residential green carts. The compost does not contain biosolids or manure.

How much compost can I get? If I bring a small pick up?
Hi there, our limit is five 5-gallon buckets per household per gardening season. Thank you for asking.
