Mobile Library Biblio Bus at Markets — What’s Famers Market Ambassadors Got to Do with It?

By Carlee Leonhard, Farmers Market Ambassador Program Coordinator

Our Farmers Market Ambassador Program has been actively gathering valuable insights through Farm 2 Facts surveys at various markets. This data helps us better understand and meet community needs. A key request we received was to have the Sonoma County Biblio Bus visit the Santa Rosa Original Farmers Market more often.

More Biblio Bus Visits for Kid-Friendly Markets

The Biblio Bus is a mobile library offering books, learning materials, and activities, making it a fantastic resource for families and kids. Thanks to your feedback, the Biblio Bus now visits the Santa Rosa Market regularly, with the next stop on October 19. The staff are also tabling at the Walnut Park Petaluma Market every Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. to share information about their services.

FM Ambassadors Turn Your Feedback into Action

This partnership not only brings books and learning to the market but also promotes literacy and a love for reading among children. It’s a great example of how the Ambassador Program turns your feedback into action, continuously improving our local markets.

So next time a Farmers Market Ambassador approaches you for our market surveys, please take a few minutes to share your thoughts—we’re listening! And if you are new to one of the Sonoma County farmers markets, we would love to hear from you via our New Customer Survey here.
