GENERAL FAQs ON CSAs
What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and is a way for community members to support farms directly. CSA members commit to purchasing their “share” on a regular basis while the farm provides a selection of peak season produce. It’s a partnership between farms and consumers that keeps independent farms thriving, helps people eat seasonal, local produce, and is part of building a strong, equitable food system.
The Bounty CSA Bags program runs on a weekly basis, typically from July to November or December.

What are the benefits of joining a CSA?
CSA members will get fresh, seasonal produce on a regular basis while supporting local farmers and helping promote sustainable agriculture. Members know exactly where their food comes from and will have a direct relationship with farmers. Bounty CSA Bags Members will also get a free U-pick Strawberries and Flowers when available each and every week throughout the growing season.
How does the Bounty CSA Bags program work?
Members pay a fee for a share of the farm’s harvest and receive a box of fresh produce weekly during the growing season.
What kind of produce can I expect in the CSA share each week?
You’ll get a different selection of seasonal fruits and vegetables each week in your Bounty CSA Bags. The items are hand selected by our farmers each week based on what’s in season. We typically grow vegetables such as zucchini, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, chard, and tomatoes, and fruit such as strawberries, apples, and pears, including varieties you typically won’t find at a supermarket.
How much food does a member get each week?
Typically, one box contains 7- 8 types of produce that can feed 4 people for a week.
