CalFresh Awareness Month is underway!
For the month of May, Petaluma Bounty and Farmers’ Market L.I.F.E. has increased the daily maximum match incentive to $20 for people making purchases with CalFresh at one of our 13 Farmers’ Markets. For details and a list of all markets involved, please go to www.farmersmarketlife.org
We have been hosting new events this year called CalFresh Awareness Month Health and Wellness Events. It is a great community gathering of collaborating partners from all over the county. 
At these events, we have been able to offer free blood pressure screenings, market tours and food demos, free cookbooks and recipe cards. Market goers can also find information regarding signing up for CalFresh. We are so thankful to our community sponsors for helping us be able to put on these events and offer these great activities.
But they’re not over yet! We still have several events remaining for the month!
- May 19th from 8:30AM-12:30PM at the Healdsburg Farmers’ Market
- May 26th from 8:30AM-1:00PM at the Santa Rosa Original Certified Farmers’ Market at the Luther Burbank Center
- May 26th from 2:00PM-5:00PM at the Petaluma Walnut Park Farmers’ Market
We would love to see you at one of these events! And remember, the incentive increase is available all month and not just at one of these events.
And, don’t forget about our photo contest!
During the entire month of May, we are putting on a photo contest where you can win Petaluma Bounty T-Shirts, Market Bags, and Farmers’ Market Gift Certificates. Just use the hashtag #freshestcalfreshsoco and post a picture to our Farmers’ Market L.I.F.E. Facebook page or Instagram with a picture of the delicious, fresh produce you pick up at the market and how you use it. Feel free to add a photo of you at market! Stories alongside the photos are encouraged but not necessary for participation. If you do take a picture of yourself, please make sure you are okay with your photo being used on our Farmers’ Market L.I.F.E. Facebook or Instagram page. Judging will take place at the end of May and prizes will be awarded after.
