Petaluma Bounty is now operating as a fiscally-sponsored program of San Antonio Valley Ranch, the agricultural arm of the Eames Institute, a 501(c)(3) public charity. Fiscal sponsorship is a very common way for nonprofits to support charitable and educational projects and programs.
This is a short-term arrangement to give Petaluma Bounty time and support to strengthen its foundation and plan for the future. This change helps ensure Petaluma Bounty can continue its beloved urban farm in downtown Petaluma, its valuable programs, and community work.
The agricultural arm of the Eames Institute, San Antonio Valley Ranch, shares Petaluma Bounty’s commitment to the community, land stewardship, and education. The partnership is rooted in shared values, and does not shift either mission or identity. Petaluma Bounty remains fully committed to its mission of building a healthy, just, and resilient local food system.
This is a moment of renewal for an extraordinary program, which the Eames Institute has had the chance to interact with over the past 7 years with great admiration and respect.
With community support, Petaluma Bounty is designing a sustainable path forward for many more seasons of growing and giving.
In case you missed our Harvest Party on Oct. 25, 2025, here’s a video of Bounty Director Suzi explaining the transition.
