An Update on the Bounty Community Farm Acquisition

Earlier this year, Petaluma Bounty created an ad hoc committee to coordinate the multi-pronged approach toward the purchase of the land our beloved farm is situated on. With the $2.1 million matching grant from the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District, Petaluma Bounty got a significant boost in its campaign to acquire the land. This grant comes with a Conservation Easement to retire the development rights of the parcels and keep the land in farming for the benefit of the community.

Bounty Farm Acquisition Committee seeks capital campaign manager

The Bounty Farm Acquisition Committee (BFAC) will work with staff to drive efforts forward to fund and hire a capital campaign manager, engage with donors, foundations, and land trusts to convey the importance of Petaluma’s first urban and nonprofit farm. BFAC will expand in coming months and will accept nominations on a rolling basis. Donations are gratefully accepted for both the purchase of the land as well as to support ongoing operations during this unprecedented opportunity.
