After a winter hiatus, we have restarted our service as a free compost hub.

Compost is free to pick up, with a limit of five 5-gallon buckets-worth per season per household. The limit is because this is a community resource for all to share.

Pick up hours are Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to noon, at 55 Shasta Ave., Petaluma.

If you need more than the limit, please source compost from a retailer, such as Grab N’ Grow. Community spaces and school gardens with bigger needs can contact Zero Waste Sonoma for possible direct access.
