Our 4th Annual Fall Plant Sale is Scheduled for Sept. 10, 2023

Petaluma Bounty’s 4th Annual Fall Plant Sale is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023. We’ll have a wide variety of affordably priced vegetables and herb starts to choose from, including broccoli, cauliflower, beets, and lettuce. 

  • 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. will be for customers who are immunocompromised, mobility challenged, and/or are paying with CalFresh/EBT. Signups encouraged.
  • 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. will be open to all customers. No registration is necessary. 

Plant starts will be priced $4 and up.

Payments accepted: Cash, card, EBT

At the sale, we will offer

  • Expert advice from our team and the Master Gardeners. Get tips on year-round planting, water conservation, companion planting, and more.
  • Free activities at the farm including apple and tomato tastings, apple press demos/juice tasting, and U-pick flowers.

Specific varieties available at the sale will be published closer to the event on our website and social media.

Registration is encouraged for qualified customers

We encourage qualified customers to sign up for a 30-minute shopping time slot through Calendly. The sign-up links will go live as we approach the date of the sale. Check our web pageFacebook and Instagram for updates, and subscribe to our newsletter to be notified as soon as the sign-up links go live.

The priority shopping time is intended to ensure that those who cannot purchase their plants at other commercial outlets, due to health or payment considerations, have the opportunity to do so at our community farm.

Discounts for CalFresh customers

We will gladly accept CalFresh/EBT cards, cash, and credit/debit cards for payment. CalFresh/EBT customers will get a 50-percent discount (dollar-for-dollar match), up to $20, thanks to our sponsors.

Proceeds from the Plant Sale support the Petaluma Bounty’s programs that provide healthy food to low-income families and seniors that may not otherwise be able to afford it. Grow your own food while helping others grow theirs.
