What We Know About the 2026 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program

Updated July 16, 2026 (Proxy Form link added)

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program in 2026 will provide a $50 farmers market benefits card per eligible senior. Cards are distributed on a first-come first-served basis while supplies last.

Sonoma County SFMNP Distribution Dates for 2026

Two distribution dates are confirmed.

SFMNP will be distributed at the following farmers markets.

A volunteer from ExtraFood will distribute SFMNP, along with paper vouchers for their nutrition bonus bucks program. For more information, please reach out to ExtraFood at contact@extrafood.org or (415) 997-9830.

The program is federally funded and state administered in partnership with county agencies. With no administrative funds and reduced county personnel, there are challenges to the rollout. Petaluma Bounty is advising and assisting the county, as is ExtraFood. Additionally, ExtraFood received state funding to distribute $50 in vouchers to anyone who receives the 2026 SFMNP.

Proxy Form

If an eligible senior is unable to visit a distribution site to pick up SFMNP and nutrition bonus bucks, the senior can authorize someone else (a proxy) to pick them up. The senior must sign the proxy form ahead of time. Click here for the proxy form.
