Home is where your heart is, community is where your farm is.
Petaluma, California – December 29, 2018 – Announcing Bubbles and Bonbons for Bounty, a benefit concert and reception for Petaluma Bounty on Thursday, February 14th from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at Hotel Petaluma, 205 Kentucky St. in downtown Petaluma.
Musical entertainment provided by critically acclaimed jazz musician Bonnie Brooks with accompaniment by John Simon. Tickets are available on a sliding scale from $35 to $75 for an evening of delectable desserts, sparkling and fine wines, non-alcoholic beverages, and live music. Dancing and romancing is smiled upon but not necessary to celebrate your love for community on St. Valentine’s Day.
A limited number of advanced tickets are available online at https://bountybubbles.bpt.me and at the door. Proceeds will support Petaluma Bounty’s programs and mission to make healthy food available to everyone through access, education, engagement, and empowerment.
A program of PPSC, Petaluma Bounty aims to ensure that everyone in our community has access to healthy food and healthy living. In our region, where premium agricultural products are plentiful, approximately one third of households face hunger, and lack access to healthy food and nutrition literacy. Petaluma Bounty aims to close the gap, build equity in our community, and ensure that everyone is nourished through:
Access: We increase access for low income community members to locally grown produce at farmers’ markets, Bounty sliding scale farm stand, weekly produce box subscriptions, and through Bounty Hunters food recovery program.
Education: Healthy lifestyle and nutrition education programs, farm field trips, and market tours reach over 600 youth and adults annually.
Engagement: Partnerships with the local, state, and federal food, farming, and regulatory community bring awareness and resources to local food security issues.
Empowerment: We empower our community through skills workshops and by working with interns and a corps of volunteers to be part of the solution.
