In May 2025, the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits will transition from checks to electronic benefits and only farmers who go through an approval process will be able to accept the benefits. All vendors must complete a new authorization process, even if they are currently WIC authorized.

The California Department of Public Health will hold an informational web meeting to explain the changes and vendor application process.

The meeting will provide an overview of the electronic system and the steps that all farmers, even those currently authorized, must take in order to accept S/FMNP and CVB benefits.
