New to Food Gardening Workshop – with UC Master Gardeners

Save the date for April 8th from 11 am to 12 pm! The UC Master Gardeners are going to be hosting a workshop on the basics of food gardening! The event will be in the Unity Garden at Petaluma Bounty. The address for the farm is 55 Shasta Avenue in Petaluma.

Experienced Master Gardeners will present a short program for those new to gardening. You will be introduced to valuable information to get you started. We will share critical resources as you begin to build your gardening skills. Providing fresh vegetables for your family and enriching your garden with perennials that feed pollinators can bring great change to your garden environment. Knowing where to turn when you encounter challenges is critical for new gardeners.

This outdoor presentation in the NEW Unity Demonstration Garden will include:

  • Growing Vegetables
  • Enriching Garden Soil
  • No-Till Food Gardening
  • Irrigation basics

Presenters will include information about Bounty events such as Compostapalooza on April 15 and the Plant Sale on Saturday April 22 and Sunday 23 as well as the Farmers Markets.
