As you may or may not know, Petaluma Bounty has been without a farmer since late July. Katherine started a new position and the rest of the team came together to finish out the farm season. Nearing the end of the 2018 season and with some reorganization and an updated job description, we’re ready to start the hiring process to on-board a new teammate!
In this new format, the Assistant Farm Manager will be provided direct supervision and mentorship by the Director. This person will implement the existing crop plan, sowing schedule, and harvest schedule with our non-traditional farm crew. S/he/they will work alongside our Education and Engagement Coordinator but their work and responsibilities will be more focused on farm production. The position takes the right balance of community engagement and farming skills and we’re willing to train the right candidate.
All applicants are asked to submit a cover letter and resume to jobs@petalumabounty.org at their earliest convenience. We would like to hire the right candidate during the quiet season to get them acclimated and ready for the full season.
This is a full time year-round position that provides medical, dental, vacation and other traditional benefits. The ideal candidate will be bilingual- English/ Spanish.
Thank you for your help in getting the word out!
