Last week, we seeded peppers and eggplants in our greenhouse in preparation for a bountiful 2017 growing season for our farm and your garden! Please mark April 23rd on your calendar as the day to purchase your garden plants and support Bounty Programs!
In the mean time, we could use your help as a volunteer (we have a big seeding day this Saturday) or by providing sponsorship for the event. If you’d like to volunteer, please email [email protected]; if you’d like to donate (cash or in-kind), please email [email protected].

PETALUMA BOUNTY SPRING PLANT SALE
Sunday, April 23, 2017; 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Bounty Community Farm Hosts
Annual Plant Sale and Community Gathering
Get your garden started! There will be thousands of plants for sale on Sunday, April 23rd at the Bounty Community Farm, located at 55 Shasta Ave in Petaluma. With over 25 varieties of affordably priced vegetables, herbs and flowers to choose from, everyone is sure to find something for their garden!
There will be popular favorites including heirloom tomatoes, sungold, hot and sweet peppers, onions, leeks, lettuce, chard, kale, specialty greens, cabbage, broccoli, melons, winter and summer squash, beans, and herbs and flowers round out the selection!
Learn from local gardening experts which varieties will do best in your garden and how to get seedlings off to a healthy start.
Proceeds from the Annual Spring Plant Sale support the Bounty Community Farm Programs and other initiatives that provide healthy food to low-income families and seniors that may not otherwise be able to afford it. Grow your own food while helping others grow theirs!
Veggie seedlings ready for planting will start at $3.00. Thanks to our sponsors, Petaluma Bounty will be offering a dollar for dollar match, up to $10, for anyone purchasing their edible plants with CalFresh (EBT)! We will gladly accept EBT cards, cash and credit for payment at this event.
For the kiddos! We will have children’s activities and an art station.
For a good time! Please join us at the Bounty Community Farm to learn more about Petaluma Bounty programs at our information table and learn about gardening practices from local experts. We will have live music part of the day from a local folk band.
Petaluma Bounty Seeks Community Sponsors to Support The Annual Plant Sale
Petaluma Bounty’s vision is to grow a thriving local food system where consumers make informed decisions; farmers make a decent living while prioritizing ecological stewardship of the land; and all people – regardless of income – have access to healthy food.
Help us grow our programs by becoming a sponsor for the 7th annual Bounty Plant Sale. On April 23rd, thousands of edible plants (plus flowers and natives) will be sold to local gardeners and community groups. Sponsorship also allows us to provide an extra incentive of a $1 for $1 match for anyone purchasing with CalFresh (foodstamp) benefits.
